A beach house in Stockholm, with a fire to come home to.

Ellery Beach House on Lidingö went above and beyond what we expected. It's cosy, clean and fresh everywhere you look, and the interior, with warm colours, soft lamps and a restaurant built around an open fireplace, sets the mood the moment you walk in.

We spent hours in the big, beautiful spa: an evening swim in the pool as it lit up, then the relaxation room with its daybeds and glowing lamps. The food was really good too, from dinner by candlelight next to the fire to breakfast by the big windows the next morning.

Tip: this is the place to treat yourself. Book dinner close to the fireplace and leave plenty of time for the spa.
