Our own villa in the palms, five minutes from the surf.
We stayed in the big villa at Terra Resort, just outside Ahangama, and it felt like having our own home in the jungle. Two floors with a floating teak staircase, a balcony looking straight into the palms, a fully equipped kitchen and a private pool right outside the door. Cosy boutique style, and everything fresh, spacious and thought through.
The villas sit just moments from the resort itself, so you get a place entirely your own and still have the main pool, the bamboo bar, yoga classes and the restaurant a short walk away. The beach and some great surf are close by too.
The staff made the stay. Service was world class from the first minute, there was always a fun activity going on, and the food was something we looked forward to at every meal.
Tip: the villas are made for sharing, so bring friends and stay longer than you think you need.
